"Attention!! I need some help. I feel like I’m living on the edge by posting this. Hopefully I will be okay.
Most (or all) of you know where I work.
My place of work is in need of fun bandaids.
Could you imagine being a sick kiddo, being poked for IVs and then, all you get is a boring, brown bandaid?
Could you imagine lab coming multiple times a day to poke you for your blood, and instead of a warrior badge, you get a lameo brown bandaid?
Could you just imagine how much of a sad day it would be if you JUST needed a bandaid to make your day better, and all your choices were: brown, still brown, always-stupid-brown?!
If you find yourself wth a few extra dollars in your pocket, or at a dollar store, or trying to make a difference...and HAPPENED to find yourself with some fun, cartoon, colourful bandaids...you just let me know! "
Being the mom that keeps a wallet full of character bandaids each time we were admitted, I knew THIS was a project we could get behind. Sometimes a promise of a fun bandaid made the difference between a great poke and an extremely difficult one.. We stopped in the States for ones you can't find here, and asked our friends and neighbors to contribute if they could.
One small boy is changing this world, one bandaid at a time.

We will continue to collect and make regular donations as long as we're able. If you'd like to add to his next donation, send us a message and we will make sure to meet you to grab them. If not local to Leduc, we will gladly accept a donation e-mailed to theowieproject@gmail.com and will purchase more on your behalf before our next drop off.
